The Annual Charity Motorcylcle Ride is in benefit of Lansdowne Children's Centres' Every Kid Counts Program. Every Kid Counts supports children and youth with special needs so they can participate in local community recreational programs of their choice. Totally funded by donations, Every Kid Counts helps kids gain independence, confidence and realize their dreams.
What makes the Lansdowne Childrens Centre Charity Motorcycle Ride unique is its Police Escort. Local and Regional Police Officers; OPP and Auxiliary Police from all across Ontario join us and volunteer their time to lead the Ride as well as control and block every intersection on the Ride Route to allow over 350 riders to remain as one unit. Riders feel safe, confident and proud to be part of this motorcycle parade that literally brings the community to a stand still as it is amazing to watch and exhilarating to experience. The Ride begins at the Brantford & District Civic Centre and follows a scenic route of approximately 60 km through city and country settings. The Ride passes by the Lansdowne Childrens Centre where riders are greeted by a roaring crowd of cheering kids, families and friends of Lansdowne and ends back at the Civic Centre for a celebration BBQ lunch and live music and entertainment.

The team is already gearing up for B.A.D. Ride XII. Mark your calendars for Sunday May 31st, 2009! Building on the excitement and success of the past rides, we've kept all the elements you told us you loved and added new activities to keep you entertained.
As always, we have a new 165 km scenic route with picturesque villages and the kind of back roads loved by riders. We keep the exact route a secret until Ride day because we don't want to spoil the surprise of discovering those sweet stretches for the first time.
We're really excited about the Grand Prize this year. It's a true-to-tradition 2009 Harley Davidson Cross Bones, a custom bobber with defiant attitude! Who wouldn't want to have one of these parked in their garage.
B.A.D. Ride XII is once again starting at the incomparable AMC Complex and finishing for only the second time at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum/Hamilton International Airport. We always try to keep things interesting, so there will be some new displays, activities and entertainment. It's never same old, same old, with the B.A.D. Ride.
Joining our list of celebrity endorsers this year is Michael "Pinball" Clemons, CEO of the Toronto Argonauts. We are proud to have his support. We are also thrilled to have the continued championship of John Derringer of Q107 and Susan Hay of Global TV.
