The RCMP Foundation was formed over eleven years ago to support the RCMP members in their pursuit to help Canada’s youth at risk. Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada was one of the sponsors of the evening’s black tie gala on October 27, 2007. The 3rd Annual Dinner was held to raise funds to develop local community programs to support community policing, child safety, drug awareness, crime prevention, anti-bullying and victim assistance programs. The foundation also works with local RCMP members to build playgrounds and sports facilities as well as helping to form sports teams and associations.

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Canadian funny man, Brent Butt from the hit TV series, Corner Gas. The evening included speeches by some of the members of the RCMP who won awards for their work with youth at risk as well as some of the kids that the RCMP have helped overcome some of life’s difficulties.

A silent auction as well as a live auction was held to help raise money for the foundation. Live auction items included an RCMP German Shepard pup and Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada donated a Limited Edition 105th Anniversary Softail that was the last item of the evening’s auction. Congratulations to James Rayburn for his winning bid on the black and copper Softail.
