BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA
“We may be a fairly new shop in town, but we are far from new to the motorcycle lifestyle,” explains Mike Corcione of Azzkikr Customs in Surrey, British Columbia. Though only in business for 2 years, Azzkikr Customs features a 4000 sq. ft. showroom and parts department showcasing the very best production bikes from the likes of Johnny Pag and Paramount Cycles, to the wildest custom bikes built by Azzkikr Customs themselves. “We have a full line of our own production bikes, as well as V-8 choppers in two wheels or trike options.”
A 2500 sq. ft. accessories and clothing department and a 2000 sq. ft. service shop complements the Azzkikr experience. All makes of motorcycles including Harley-Davidson and import bikes as well as sport bikes and full customs are serviced by fully qualified and licensed mechanics. A 2000 sq. ft. fabrication area houses the grinding, cutting and welding facility, and finally a 1000 sq. ft. paint booth brings to life your wildest ideas whether we are working on your bike or car.
Big enough to tackle any challenge, the Azzkikr staff offer top-quality personalized service.
To showcase the work Azzkikr Customs offers, Mike Corcione designed and built this beautiful rigid with the assistance of Dave Greenwood. “I simply wanted to build a sick looking chopper that could be ridden fast and safe, but still enter into a show and take first place–we have done that several times so far.”
Though hard tail choppers often have a reputation for being uncomfortable or not being road worthy, Mike is setting the record straight with this build. “I built this as I do all my bikes–to prove those people wrong.”
Mike’s chopper features a single down tube frame topped off with custom chrome plating. Hand pounded heat shields for the exhaust keep things cool and a hand bent sissy bar finish the chopper off. A 120 ci engine provides the bark and a 6-speed transmission gets the bite down to the ground.
The inspiration for the paint scheme was of a tattoo that our customer had always wanted. True fire, done in blue on a black base, with a dragon ghosted in, graces the gas tank. On the side of the 3″ open primary cover, the Azzkikr logo is also ghosted in. With FTW painted on the underside of rear fender and engulfed in the true fire flames, the bike bleeds attitude and was completed in less than six months. At the 2008 Vancouver Island Custom Motorcycle Show, Mike scored a First Place in Best Custom Rigid.
The bikes built by Azzkikr Customs are no trailer queens either, all their bikes are built to be ridden first, “They may look like show bikes but make no mistake, all the bikes we build get ridden.”
Whether you are looking for a cruiser, old school bobber or a wild custom, Azzkikr Customs can do it all. “Our background is a little of everything, we weld and fabricate in addition to mechanical work, 3D design and consulting. We are jacks of all trades you could say–and our work speaks for itself.”
