2010 Hardcore Speedster

What would you pay for a custom chopper autographed by U.S. President Barack Obama? Auction house Barrett-Jackson and proceeds recipient Fisher House Foundation for Armed Forces and Veterans Aid are hoping the answer is a lot.

On the block at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction being held September 23 to 25 is a chopper described as a 2010 Hardcore Speedster. The design inspiration for the Speedster is said to have come from the P-40 Warhawk, a World War 2 era fighter plane. Aside from the signatures of President Obama, Vice President Biden and the U.S. National Security Advisor, General Jim Jones, the motorcycle boasts some impressive numbers. A 2,100 cc engine mated to a six-speed transmission is claimed to produce 150 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque – good enough to launch the low-slung machine to 100 km/h in a claimed 2.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 260 km/h.

However, before you catch the next flight to Sin City to bid on Lot #356, you had better read the fine print. Barrett-Jackson is warning potential buyers that the custom bike may not be admissible into Canada due to our Customs regulations.
