Coinciding with their launch of the new Tiger 800XC, Triumph Motorcycles have partnered with Edelweiss Bike Travel to create a worldwide adventure-touring programme for 2011.

Five tours that range from 11 to 16 days in length will be offered this year with plans already being made to extend the programme for 2012. Three of the inclusive trips will start with a tour of Triumph’s production facility in Hinckley, England, before leaving toward their respective destinations that include the legendary Isle of Man, the Scottish Highlands and Austria for the annual Triumph’s Tridays Festival. The other two destinations planned for the inaugural year of the touring programme include the Sahara Desert in North Africa and a circumnavigation of Thailand.

“Following the introduction of the new, go everywhere, Tiger 800XC, the obvious next step was the introduction of Triumph Adventure Tours, allowing customers to experience the motorcycle in it’s natural environment, without having to go through the long and difficult process of researching and planning their own trips,” said Paul Stroud, Triumph’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “We have chosen to partner with Edelweiss; having run over 1600 motorcycle tours in over 180 destinations over the past 30 years. Their expertise and local knowledge gives customers the reassurance that the events will be well run with good hotels, exciting roads and a high level of backup.”
