Approximately 5,000 Canadian women under the age of 50 are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. Helping to raise the awareness of younger women to this disease, Rethink Breast Cancer is a Canadian charity that also focuses on research and supportive care programs.

In March 2009 Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada formed a partnership with Rethink Breast Cancer, supporting the charity by donating a portion of their sales of Pink Label Collection garments. To date, Deeley has contributed over $50,000 to aid the charity’s continued operations.

Deeley has expanded the Canadian Pink Label Collection this year with six new items that include hoodies, head wraps, travel mugs and water bottles, bring the total items included in the collection to 25. Items from the Canadian Pink Label Collection are tagged with the motto “Purchase with a Purpose”, and are available from participating Harley-Davidson Retail Stores.

“The dollars raised have made a tremendous impact on our organization,” says MJ DeCoteau, Executive Director of Rethink Breast Cancer. “It helps Rethink get closer to its goal of reaching every newly diagnosed young woman in the country and making all young women (and men) aware of the risk factors of the disease”.
