VRRA announces 2012 race dates
The Vintage Road Racing Association (VRRA) will be kicking off their 32nd year of competition this June with the Quinte TT at Shannonville Motorsport Park.
The VRRA is the only organization of its kind in Canada that is solely dedicated to the preservation of classic and vintage road racing. It also happens to be the oldest vintage racing association in North America. Highly entertaining, VRRA races should be a priority for every vintage motorcycle fan; no other venue showcases such an exotic variety of classic motorcycles and sidecars in action on the track. It’s always nice to see a vintage bike in a museum, but there’s no replacement for seeing, hearing and smelling one as it laps a race track.
The VRRA’s 2012 race calendar consists of four rounds (see below), the highlight of which will undoubtedly be the Mosport Vintage Festival (August 17-19, 2012). The annual event draws hundreds of entries, many from the United States, and this year’s Festival will introduce the many changes and improvements that have been made to Mosport (www.mosport.com) during the off-season.
For more information, you can take a look at the VRRA’s website (www.vrra.ca) or contact Don Gosen at 519-885-2390.
