Suzuki to add entry-level 250 to line up
Suzuki reps have confirmed that the GW250, a twin-cylinder, entry-level naked bike known in other markets as the Inazuma, will be coming to Canada.
A Suzuki GW250 was spotted on display at a recent dealer meeting held in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Suzuki reps confirmed that the bike is currently in the early stages of being brought into Canada.
The entry-level naked bike, with styling cues borrowed from the B-King, uses a fuel-injected, 248 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin that is claimed to produce 24 hp. It uses a six-speed transmission.
The bike uses a semi double-cradle steel frame with a single-shock rear suspension. Wheelbase is 1,430 mm (56.3 in.) and seat height is a modest 780 mm (30.7 in.). Curb weight is 182 kg (401 lb). All specs are subject to change, of course, as they are taken from the bike sold currently in India and China.
According to Suzuki Canada’s Tylor Donnelly, it’s not a matter of if the GW250 comes to Canada, but when. We’ll keep you posted.
