New Canadian Touratech distributor
Touratech, maker of adventure bike accessories, opens an new Canadian distribution centre.
Founded in 1990 by Herbert Schwarz, Touratech has gone on to become the world’s largest manufacturer of adventure-touring accessories, with 36 distribution centres worldwide.
Announced recently, the company has opened a brand-exclusive store and distribution centre in Bromont, Quebec. The outlet will supply authorised dealers across the country, as well as cater to walk-in customers.
President of Touratech Canada, Dominique Lemaire, is an avid off-road rider, having met Herbert and his wife, Ramona, during the 2010 BMW GS Trophy in South Africa. They became friends and Lemaire travelled to Germany to ride with the pair, which is where talks began of opening a new store in Canada.
Moto Internationale, a multiline dealer in Montreal, was formerly the principal distributor of Touratech products in Canada, but because of a continuously expanding product line an exclusive distribution centre was required.
The new Touratech Canada store is located at 1222 Shefford Boulevard, in Bromont, Quebec, about 45 minutes east of Montreal.
