On This Particular Sunday: Vendors showcase products for Canadian dealers
The ever-changing fall weather held out during the second Parts Canada dealer and distributor weekend show in London, ON, just as it had when Motorcycle Mojo attended in 2011.
Saturday September 28th was designated as a set-up day for distributors coming from far and wide such as Samco Sports based in the United Kingdom. Roger and Martin from Motorcycle Mojo arrived to find the road leading to the event grounds lined with cars with license plates from as far away as California, and a good number of motorcycles too.
Transport trucks from Kawasaki, Kymco, Suzuki and BMW were present – some offering demo rides while others had a selection of their race bikes on display. KTM was also there and a small course was designated so that show goers could borrow the proper gear and sample a few products from the Austrian brand. Great food, live music and a lively fashion show accompanied dinner for the evening’s end.
This year’s theme was a carnival, which gave each booth the chance to showcase their products in a unique and creative way. Metzler tires had a curiously named game of corn hole toss for which each participant had four bean bags, and the number successfully tossed in a hole equated to the prize earned. We at Motorcycle Mojo decided to add an element of danger with a game of darts for which each balloon burst matched a prize won. Freestyle rider Ben Milot brought the 2013 Milot Land tour to the event as he, along with two other riders, entertained the crowed with their high-flying stunts. Between hitting the ramp the daredevil riders took turns doing rolling burnouts, wheelies and massive endos all for the amusement of onlookers.
Sunday came to a close marking the final summer show of 2013 attended by Motorcycle Mojo, and we’re happy to report that it was a great success once again. For more information regarding Parts Canada and the brands they carry please visit PartsCanada.com.
