Indian Chief Dark Horse
Indian Motorcycle Chief Dark Horse.
The new Indian Chief Dark Horse was unveiled at this past weekend’s Chicago Progressive International Motorcycle Show. Sharing the same chassis, suspension and Thunder Stroke 111 engine as the Indian Chief Classic, this new Dark Horse sheds some pounds and puts on a coat of matte black everything. Weighing in at 341 kg ( 13 kg less than the Classic), the new Dark Horse features cast wheels, which help with some of the weight loss, as does the elimination of driving lights, oil-cooler and analogue fuel gauge. There are also no passenger accommodations.
Over 40 accessories are expected to be available, including a rear seat and passenger pegs. We’re guessing the majority of bolt-on accessories will be finished in matte black as well.
Retail here in Canada is expected to be $19,799.00, saving buyers a couple thousand dollars over the price of a Chief Classic. Indian is also offering a promotional 5-year unlimited mileage warranty. Contact your local Indian Motorcycles dealer for further details and expected availability.
