Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Recall
Transport Canada has announced a recall of various Kawasaki Vulcan 1700’s from 2012 to 2015 for a possible electrical fault.
Transport Canada Recall # 2015405
Recall Details: On certain motorcycles, the ignition switch wires could chafe against the bottom of the fuel tank creating an electrical short. This could cause the engine to stall without warning resulting in a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the ignition switch for damaged wires and replace them as necessary. Additional shielding and padding will be installed.
A total of 2,426 units have been affected in Canada.
