Indian Returns to the Flat Track
The Legend Returns
Indian will be returning to AMA flat-track racing after more than 60 years, with a 750 cc, liquid-cooled twin derived from the engine used in the Indian Scout and Victory’s Octane. It’s a competition-only model and will be dubbed the Scout FTR750.
The company appears to be very serious about this return, as is indicated by the hiring of multi-time world champion Jared Mees as its factory rider.
It feels as though not a day goes by around here without some news from parent company Polaris and its ongoing push into motorcycle competition and development. These are exciting times for this American-made giant.
