“When we were designing our accessories for the new Honda Africa Twin 1000, we had considered a lot of potential situations that this true adventure off-road bike can be exposed to, and we came up with a set of extremely sturdy crash bars that will provide protection for the radiator guard in case of a tip over, some parts of the plastic covers around the tank and partially the upper part of the engine. This was obviously not enough to protect such a large engine, thus a skid plate had to be designed with more-than-average coverage in mind. The Outback Motortek skid plate is the only one on the market that attaches to the crash bars for added strength, full exhaust header and engine front-end coverage.”
