Triumph Recall – Heated Grips
Transport Canada Recall #2017029
Manufacturer Recall Number SB 546
Units Affected: 179
Recall Details:
Certain motorcycles equipped with heated grips may have an insufficient expansion gap when turned on. This could cause the right hand throttle grip to expand beyond the limits of the available gap and cause the throttle return spring to stop working properly. This would make it difficult to slow or stop the vehicle which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to
property.
Correction: Dealers will install a spacer to provide a sufficient gap for the heated grip to expand when turned on.
