KTM Brings 390 Adventure, 790 Adventure R Rally and 890 Duke to Canada for 2020
KTM has announced the long-awaited arrival of the 390 Adventure to the Canadian market. It has also unveiled the new 890 Duke R and 790 Adventure R Rally for the North American market.
KTM 390 Adventure
The new KTM 390 Adventure has harnessed the attributes and DNA from the incredibly capable and highly versatile KTM 790 Adventure. The 390 Adventure is an ideal entry model for riders looking to discover the world adventure riding, this motorcycle offers added versatility for touring and light off-roading. Using elements of the KTM 390 Duke as a base and taking performance cues found at the heart of the KTM 450 Rally.
KTM 790 Adventure R Rally
The 790 Adventure R Rally is the third and newest member of the KTM 790 Adventure family and is positioned as the most travel capable rally bike. For those riders who demand the most hardcore performance and the very best suspension equipment available, this is the machine that will easily cross continents in order to ride to the start line of a rally.
Based heavily on the KTM 790 Adventure R, the exclusive Rally model retains the same steel trellis chassis, the potent and compact LC8c parallel twin engine and the class-leading electronic rider aids. The major component difference is the addition of the special WP XPLOR PRO suspension. Developed in the same department as WP’s Factory Racing equipment, it offers superior performance for extreme riding. An additional 30 mm of suspension travel front and back helps clear the most awkward obstacles and brings the seat height to 35.8 in (910 mm).
KTM 890 Duke R
With such success from the 790 Duke, KTM has announced the release of the 890 Duke R, we will not see the model likely till the fall of 2020; no price has been announced on the bike.
The 890 Duke R puts out an impressive 121 hp and 73lb-ft of torque, with it’s completely redesigned engine. KTM gave the engine a bore and stroke update, along with a completely new head to handle larger intake and exhaust valves and a balancing shaft. The 890 will also have an option to upgrade your engine package to include Quickshifter + and cruise control. The 890 seems to evoke an aggressive nature with suspension and brake upgrades and low riding position with flat and low handlebars, and taller seat height than the 790 Duke.
Additionally to the unveiling of these models KTM also released an all-new mini electric dirtbike, the SX-E 5. For more news about the KTM 2020 model range please visit www.ktm.com or your nearest authorized KTM dealer.
