Triumph Motorcycles is stepping into the e-Bicycle industry

Triumph come full circle with the production of an Electric Bicycle.

In 1884, Triumph was born beginning with the production of bicycles. Of course, by 1902 the company gained a heavy focus on motorcycles. So it is only fitting that Triumph takes a dive back into the bicycle industry with the unveiling of their new Electric Bicycle.

The Trekker GT, Triumphs first e-cycle is said to combine performance with style and comfort. Pairing up with Shimano to provide its battery technology. The electric drivetrain comes in at 2.88 kg, with a daylong range of 150 km per charge with its 250 W, 60 Nm powertrain. The powertrain uses the Shimano Steps E6100 motor and a fully integrated E8035 504 Wh battery.

The e-cycle comes fitted with LED Lighting, full-length mudguards, pannier rack, side stand and ABUS pro-sheild integrated lock. Triumph also offer a range of accessories like a 270 mm U-lock, chain and ground anchor and Muc-off Triumph cleaning kit.

The Trekker GT, is considered a touring and transit bike, perfect for navigating through urban areas, with its slick clean and elegant styling; 65 mm suspension travel and 27.5” wheel size. The Triumph Trekker GT will be available immediately at dealerships and is set at a price of $5,000.
