That’s right, the popular 790 Duke has made a comeback this year with all new colour options. The 790 Duke was released in 2017 and was a huge hit, selling over 29,000 units worldwide. In 2021, the 790 was replaced with 890 Duke, these models featured the updated LC8 engine and improved electronics.
For 2023, the 790 Duke will be reintroduced to the market, KTM states in its press release “Neatly filling the gap between the KTM 390 Duke and KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO, the KTM 790 Duke provides unmatched rideability with torquey and exhilarating manners.” This leads us here at MM to believe that KTM Canada may be discontinuing the 890 Duke for 2023.
Rest assured the 790 Duke won’t be lacking in power or technology as KTM boasts that this reintroduced model had been updated with the most advanced and complete electronics package in the midrange segment.
