KTM has also redesigned the crankshaft with 20% more rotating mass for improved engine smoothness at speed and cornering stability due to the gyroscopic effect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The new box piston features a 10-gram weight reduction despite that larger bore, as well as three piston rings and a bronze conrod bearing to support increased RPM and power. Building on performance, the bike is equipped with Brembo brakes and WP Apex full adjustable suspension.<\/p>\n<p>The new 890 Duke R has new ergonomic positioning designed for an aggressive and more forward riding position, giving the rider increased agility for on and off the track. The Duke R is equipped with updated lean-angle sensitive MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control) now with a wheelslip and pitch angle controller to offer advanced traction control behaviour.
